Comparing yourself with others
It’s human nature that he shows others to see his best. When you see others in their best countenance, you will compare yourself with them and this ultimately makes you desperate. But you must understand appearances are deceptive and reality is quite different. Maybe the person is a wrongdoer in actual life, but he is showing off tender gallantry.
“Comparison leads to severe competition, and I saw many people losing their happiness while having strong secret competition.”
Comparison based on reality is good, but don’t compare yourself in every walk of your life because imperfection is the trait of humanity. Every person has a different skill set and capabilities, so that’s insanity to make useless efforts for what you’re not capable of. You might be born for something different. See the reality, find your passion, use your energy and then challenge others. In that spot, a beautiful saying of Edward de Bono:
Companies that solely focus on competition will ultimately die. Those that focus on value creation will thrive.
